About
Since 2004, I have taught beginner, intermediate, and advanced English Language Learners of various ages, cultures, and backgrounds. I started teaching college students and high school students for the University of Incarnate Word in Texas with great success. This success was due to my collaboration with a phenomenal staff of educators dedicated to student achievement.
Currently, I am teaching English to children, teens, and adult students in Germany and work as an online technology and English instructor. I recently finished my Master’s thesis, Closing the Achievement Gap of High School English Language Learners through Online Technology, and will be receiving my Master of Arts in Education with a Specialization in Curriculum and Instruction for English as a Second Language in October 2009. Since 2000, I have also worked as a free lance web designer, content writer, and editor.
Please join me in my ongoing project of educating teachers on the use of Second Life for educational purposes. Every week, some other great teachers and I host a free Newbie Teacher Second Life Field Trip for those who want a guide into the strange virtual world! Join our Ning to keep updated with events!
In my spare time, I enjoy traveling with my husband and our pug, Rosco!
